Prediabetes Education

Prediabetes is a condition where your blood sugar levels are higher than average but not high enough for a type 2 diabetes diagnosis.

Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme

The Healthier You Programme provides support for people identified as being at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Once referred to the programme, you have the option to receive personalised support through a face-to-face group service or a digital service.

If you opt for the digital service you will receive educational support that covers weight management, healthy eating and physical activity.

The digital stream offers digital support similar to the face-to-face group but it is delivered through digital interventions that include:

  • Wearable physical activity tracking technology
  • Apps for smart devices that provide access to health coaches
  • Online peer support groups
  • Electronic goal setting and monitoring

Low Carb Program

The award-winning Low Carb Program is an NHS-approved digital behavioural-change platform delivering an experience tailored to your needs.

Over the course of 12 weeks, the program provides education, resources, one-on-one health coaching and meal plans designed to help you make sustainable health improvements.

After the initial course has ended, the support from the Low Carb Program does not end.

You have further access to additional resources, such as a library of educational articles and videos that are being continuously updated in line with the latest diabetes research, alongside live and on-demand workouts, mediation and yoga classes.

The program is also supported across a range of devices, including phones, tablets and computers, meaning you have access to the program wherever you are.
